How to build a skill roadmap from current job postings
Stop guessing what to learn next. Read the market, then design backwards.

When you're picking what to learn next, the answer often comes from the market — not from a curriculum.
Start by writing down the role you want next. Be specific: "Area sales manager for a consumer brand in Pune" beats "sales." Then look at 30–50 active job descriptions for that role. TRP does this automatically; if you're doing it manually, give yourself an evening.
Tally the skills. Three buckets: appears in >70% of postings (must-have), appears in 30–70% (nice-to-have), appears in <30% (noise). Now compare to your current profile. The gap between "must-have" and "what you can demonstrate today" is your roadmap, in priority order.
This works because hiring managers don't write JDs in a vacuum — they're describing what's already shipping in their team. The skills they ask for are skills people in that role actually use. So your roadmap is grounded in what the market is actually doing, not what trends say it will do.
